Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 6, 2024
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how BakerTech LLC ("BakerTech", "we", "us", or "our")
handles information when you use our mobile applications, websites, and related services
(together, the "Services"), including the BakerTech app and the website available at
bakertech.ai.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- The BakerTech iOS application that links to this Privacy Policy.
- Our marketing website at bakertech.ai.
- Any other services that link to this Privacy Policy.
It does not apply to third-party services that you may access through our Services,
such as Apple iCloud or Mailchimp. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
3. How the BakerTech app handles your data
3.1 No account and no direct collection of personal data
The BakerTech app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal
information such as your name, email address, or phone number in order to use the core features.
We do not maintain user profiles or login systems for the app.
3.2 Content you create in the app
The app is designed to be minimal and local-first. It allows you to create and store content such as:
- Photos and videos,
- Text notes and reflections,
- Links and related metadata.
This content is stored on your devices and, where enabled, in your own Apple iCloud account using
CloudKit and other platform services. We do not operate our own backend servers that store this content,
and we do not have direct access to it unless you choose to share it with us (for example by sending a
screenshot or export when contacting support).
3.3 Device permissions
The app may request access to certain device features so that you can use specific functions:
- Camera โ to capture photos or videos you choose to associate with your entries.
- Microphone โ to record voice notes or audio you choose to save as part of your entries.
These permissions are used only for the purposes you initiate within the app. Captured content is stored
on your device and/or in your iCloud account according to your settings. We do not use your camera or
microphone in the background and do not stream this content to BakerTech-owned servers.
3.4 No location, contacts, or tracking
The BakerTech app:
- Does not access or collect your device location (precise or approximate).
- Does not access your contacts.
- Does not integrate third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.
4. Crash reporting and diagnostics
We rely on Apple's built-in crash reporting and diagnostics tools that are part of the iOS and App Store
ecosystem. These tools provide us with anonymized or pseudonymized technical information, such as device
type, operating system version, app version, and crash details, to help us understand and fix issues.
This information is processed according to Apple's terms and privacy policies. We do not add any additional
third-party crash reporting SDKs to the app.
5. Analytics and tracking
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs inside the BakerTech app. We do not embed advertising networks,
behavioral trackers, or fingerprinting technologies in the app.
On our website, we may use basic, privacy-conscious analytics or server logs (for example, via our hosting
provider or Cloudflare) to understand general traffic patterns and keep the site secure. These tools are
configured to avoid collecting more personal information than is necessary for those purposes.
6. Newsletter and contact information
Our website may include forms that allow you to join a newsletter, waitlist, or contact us. When you use
these forms, we may collect:
- Your name, and
- Your email address.
We use this information to send you updates about BakerTech or to respond to your inquiries. We may store
and manage this information with a third-party email service provider such as Mailchimp. These providers
are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately.
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the emails or by
contacting us directly.
7. How we use information

your content to troubleshoot a problem, or if you choose to share data with another service.
10. Data retention
In general, content you create in the app is stored on your devices and in your own iCloud accounts under
your control. You can delete this content at any time using your device settings or app features.
For information we control, such as newsletter subscription data or support emails, we retain it for as long
as reasonably necessary to provide the Services and for the other purposes described in this policy, unless a
longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
11. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries.
These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. When we transfer
personal information, we take steps to help ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect it

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in this age group. If you believe a child has
provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect the information we control from
unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but
we work to protect information and review our practices over time.
15. Third-party links and services
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate, such as Apple,
Mailchimp, or others. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. Their privacy practices are
governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at
the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example
